Set during the Japanese Imperial Period in South Korea, the story revolves around the inevitable yet never-ending relationship between Man-duk, a renowned but has-been hunter, and Dae-ho, the infamous tiger of the Korean peninsula. 10 years before the actual storyline takes place, Man-duk shoots and kills a family of Tigers but leaves all but one cub alive after a sudden change in mind. The cub later grows up and forms an unexpected connection with Man-duk during a number of tragic and unexpected incidents.
