I’ve always been searching…For a place where every dream comes true…But it’s so very far away.

Aoi lives in a basin surrounded by a wall of mountains. She is in the second year of high school and lives with her older sister, Akane, after they lost their parents in a traffic accident when she was in elementary school.

Now in high school, Aoi starts receiving career counselling. She wants to go to Tokyo for her sister, who remains unmarried and continues to care for her as a parent. “I’m the reason why Akane is stuck here. I want to leave this town and free her.” The thought has been weighing heavy on Aoi’s mind.

One day as Aoi’s frustration mounts from not being able to change her life as quickly as she wants, she is alone at a temple practicing the bass when she suddenly hears a boy’s voice. “Ahh... You’re jumping the groove. It makes it hard for me to join in...” They look at each other and ask, “Who are you?” Aoi turns around and has a flashback of a face from the past.
